This opportunity is with a company that has over three decades of expertise in interior fit-out solutions, MEP, GC, and D&B services. Operating across various sectors such as commercial, retail, data centres, and hospitality, the company has successfully delivered 50+ projects, covering over 25 million square feet area and has a presence in multiple cities across India.
They are currently looking for an experienced Cost and Estimation professional with extensive expertise in commercial projects. This individual will lead the tendering and cost estimation team for design and build projects.
Responsibilities
- Study detailed CAD drawings and prepare detailed calculation of cost, wastage etc.
- Study 3 D renders and prepare initial costs based on material shown, market rates, company rate card. Analysing Project budget and advice value addition/engineering to suit project budget requirement.
- Collect different quotes from subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.
- Analyse company data, monitor budgets and prices using software packages.
- Get costing from consultants/ vendors for various services by floating BOQ.
- Making commercial comparative for the same.
- Identify labour, materials, cost, and time requirements by researching proposals and any related documents.
- Prepare detailed cost estimator reports.
- Lead the tendering process for projects, including preparation of tender documents, bids, and proposals, HSSE Documentation, fiscal aspects & payment schedule.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Post Tender Support. and update real time budget during the project life cycle with any types of variations.
- Billing closure with all variations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, etc.
- Manage and mentor a team of tendering and estimation professionals.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must have 12 to 15+ years of experience in the architecture, interior contracting or designing companies who have handled medium – large scale commercial interior projects with a strong background in tendering, cost estimation, value engineering and project management. Strong knowledge of design and build processes, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Autodesk, and tendering software (e.g. Tender Pro).
- Master degree in a related field or bachelor degree in civil engineering, Architecture, or a related field or anyone having skilled knowledge in the field.
- Strong business development and marketing skills.
