This opportunity is with a renowned developer, known for their signature high-rise residential ventures. The company stands out for its extensive land holdings and remarkable absence of debt. Embarking on a redevelopment endeavour they have ambitious plans to develop large area of prime real estate in the next five years.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to lead their costing and estimation team. This individual will be responsible for estimating and managing project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget. This role involves analysing cost data, preparing cost estimates, and implementing cost control measures to maximize profitability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop Cost Estimates:
- Create detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications and requirements.
- Analyse cost data and market trends to provide accurate and reliable estimates.
Cost Control:
- Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
- Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing, marketing, and suppliers.
- Coordinate project activities with various departments to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Risk Management:
- Assess financial risks associated with project decisions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Validate contractor and supplier invoices against contract terms and project deliverables.
Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct post-project audits to evaluate cost management effectiveness.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field. ∙
- CCP (Certified Cost Professional), CEP (Certified Estimating Professional), and PMP (Project Management Professional) would be an added advantage.

- Ability to work out the quantities and prepare a BOQ basis drawings/site survey as per requirements from the projects team (Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel).
- Coordination with PQS consultant and following up for cost to complete and other reports at regular intervals as agreed with the consultant.
- Providing value engineering insights to optimize project costs and suggest the same to the design team.
