They are currently looking for an experienced professional to lead and evolve their Information Technology function as an Assistant Vice President. This role involves strategic oversight of IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and compliance, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities to manage a skilled team, drive innovation through emerging technologies, and optimise IT service delivery. Responsibilities also include managing budgets and vendor relationships, enhancing disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration within the department.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight of Technology Functions
Guide a team of skilled technology professionals while steering the overall direction of the function. Shape and implement forward-looking technology strategies that align closely with wider organisational aims. Design structured plans to boost efficiency and deliver tangible outcomes. Keep senior stakeholders informed through regular updates on progress and future initiatives.
Infrastructure and Operational Excellence
Take charge of the upkeep and enhancement of core technology systems such as servers, networks, and data storage environments. Ensure these systems are scalable, dependable, and well-optimised. Introduce improvements in operations through best practices, and leverage cloud technologies for flexibility and cost management. Maintain all systems to ensure continued performance and relevance.
Information Security and Regulatory Adherence
Oversee the deployment of comprehensive protective measures to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information. Regularly assess and strengthen security practices through testing and audits. Ensure all systems and processes adhere to recognised national and international frameworks and data privacy regulations. Implement governance structures that promote secure and responsible handling of information.
Process Automation and Digital Enablement
Lead efforts to transform how teams work by introducing modern collaboration platforms and automation tools. Redesign workflows for improved responsiveness and efficiency, particularly in service management and incident handling.
Financial Stewardship and External Engagements
Manage financial planning for the technology function, making strategic decisions to balance performance and cost. Oversee engagements with third-party service providers, ensuring favourable agreements and service levels. Seek ongoing opportunities to optimise expenses through effective sourcing and licensing.
Continuity Planning and Risk Preparedness
Develop and enforce resilience plans that minimise disruption during unexpected events. Put in place automated recovery and backup protocols, and regularly test readiness through simulations to ensure all teams are equipped to respond swiftly.
User-Focused Support Services
Improve support frameworks by utilising ticket management platforms and adhering to service management standards. Enhance the experience of internal users through faster resolution times and easy-to-access resources. Measure and refine support performance through analysis of service trends.
Talent Growth and Team Culture

Requirements
- Holds a university-level qualification in a technology-related field such as Computing, Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
- Brings over 15 years of progressive experience in senior technology roles, with a strong focus on infrastructure, cyber resilience, and service management.
- Has a solid track record of managing complex operational environments, including responsibility for budgets, vendor relationships, and team leadership.
- Possesses strong working knowledge of established frameworks and standards in governance, compliance, and operational best practices ((ITIL, GDPR,DPDPA, ISO 27001).
