This opportunity is with a leading real estate investment management company which has demonstrated significant success over the past four decades. The company has acquired, developed and managed an extensive portfolio comprising hundreds of properties across multiple countries.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to lead their Acquisition process in commercial office development, requiring expertise in micro markets. Asset management and supporting equity capital raising are key aspects, making it ideal for experienced real estate professionals.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of various micro markets with respect to commercial office development.
- Develop & manage broker networks (IPC’s).
- Negotiate commercial term sheets & legal documents with respective stakeholders, i.e. landowners, lawyers, brokers, investors etc.
- Deal structuring in a commercially and legally viable form.
- Handle overall transactional due diligence like legal, technical, financial & taxation during the acquisition process.
- Analyse different acquisition opportunities, develop models for various deals and update them during the life cycle of the project.
- Preparation of Investment Committee memos for new acquisitions.
- Analysing feasibility of different opportunities by interacting with various internal stakeholders.
- Provide intelligence on new legislation/acts/bills, market supply-demand data and historical underwriting parameters.
- Ability to evaluate deals with respect to non-quantitative factors.
- Guide the team on investment evaluation.
- Assisting team in formulation of strategy, financial assumptions, and calculations of different ratios/parameters.
- Asset Management.
- Assist in equity capital raising activities.
Requirements
- Postgraduate/MBA/CFA/CA.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in the real estate sector.
- Willingness to take up additional responsibilities in other areas like equity capital market & asset management.
- Sound understanding of real estate deal parameters.
- Ability to evaluate opportunities, underwrite transactions and validate all assumptions.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in excel modelling (knowledge of real estate valuation software would be a plus).
- Sound understanding of financial, legal & tax structuring.
- Willing to travel to evaluate deals.
- Oversee and guide team of Analyst / Associates.
