Pioneering standards to cater to the rising needs of industries and warehouses, the company, with a robust presence in the major industrial corridors of West, North and South India, stands out as a formidable force in the investment, management and development of industrial and logistics real estate.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to join their IT team. This individual will be leading the implementation, delivery of applications and automation initiatives, working closely with the CFO. The role involves partnering with best vendors, acting as a project manager, identifying and shortlisting the most appropriate IT partners for the company.
Responsibilities
- Be the IT business partner for the abovementioned functional teams and engage with them continuously to understand and deliver on their business requirements.
- Create an ‘As-Is’ and ‘To-be’ process and a business case which supports the automation.
- Create requirement documents (project charter, requirements specifications, functional design specifications) for use by the application development team/IT partner.
- Invite proposals from various vendors and actively participate in vendor/product evaluations and facilitate demos and POC presentations to management and end-users.
- Work with the Head of IT and CFO to shortlist the most appropriate IT partner/product/solution by doing a detailed assessment on relevant parameters.
- On-board the shortlisted IT partner and create a detailed time-bound Project plan for delivery of the application/automation initiative.
- Create a governance mechanism for reviewing progress on the project as per weekly/fortnightly/monthly cadence and take all feasible steps to resolve delivery bottlenecks.
- Carry out detailed testing of the application internally within the IT team and then work with business teams to conduct exhaustive User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Operate like an overall Project Lead and ensure timely delivery of a high-quality project in line with the organization’s and technology team’s goals.
- Manage the entire Procure-to-pay process for such products/partners.
- Manage cross-functional relationships, work with IT/business teams, negotiate IT-business demands and communicate IT direction to leadership teams and functional heads.
Requirements
- Must be technology agnostic and should be open to working on any technology platform as long as it meets the requirements of the business teams.
- Mandatory exposure to at least 2 or more of the following processes in real estate:
- Inventory Management.
- Cost Planning.
- Project Planning and Monitoring.
- Preconstruction Processes.
- Procure to Pay.
- Education – BE in Computer Science/Civil Engineering (mandatory), MBA in Operations Management is a plus but (not mandatory).
- Functional knowledge of applications like Microsoft F&O / nPulse / SAP MM & PS / Primavera / Aconex / in4velocity / Farvision / Microsoft Projects etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Practical working knowledge of MS Projects is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sensitivity and respect towards timelines are an essential requirement for this role.
