They are currently looking for a business development professional for their Mumbai studio, specialising in workplace interior fit out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the interior design industry, focusing on corporate and workplace environments. The key responsibilities include conducting thorough market research to identify potential clients, analysing market trends, competitor activities and developing strategies for client acquisition and relationship management. The role also involves collaborating with design and project management teams to create compelling proposals, delivering persuasive sales pitches, and ensuring seamless project execution.

Requirements

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities in the workplace interior fit out sector.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company’s portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.

Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the design and project management teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales pitches and presentations to secure new projects.

Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution from initial contact to project completion.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.

Networking and Events:

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance the company’s visibility and generate leads.
  • Build a network of industry contacts and leverage these relationships to benefit the business.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in business development within the architecture, interior design, or construction industry, with a focus on workplace interior fit out projects.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
