About the company

This opportunity is with a renowned developer, known for their signature high-rise residential ventures. The company stands out for its extensive land holdings and remarkable absence of debt. Embarking on a redevelopment endeavour they have ambitious plans to develop large area of prime real estate in the next five years.

They are currently looking for an experienced professional to manage their construction projects. The responsibilities include executing the Civil construction of residential high-rise towers with proper safety and quality standards within the scheduled timelines and with smooth coordination between all stakeholders including the vendors and design consultant and manage the site team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to budget, schedule and quality standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, sub-contractors, safety and quality team to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Advance planning (i.e. before construction work begins) for all the construction work to be executed at site and all the requirements of materials, equipment, etc.
  • Ensure timely logistics of materials & equipment to reach the project site on time as well as per specifications and requirements.
  • To monitor achievement levels of key intermediate milestones for the project within target timelines
  • Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and construction quality, parameters & checks
  • To ensure that the resources are optimally utilized and the costs are kept in check
  • Keep proper documentation and records for claims on contractor in case of project delays
  • To compare the plans with actual work done, identify gaps and ensure that these gaps are closed in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • To be involved in Internal Auditing, monitoring & documentation of all records as per ISO procedure requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, deviations and challenges ensuring open and transparent communication.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring, cost-effectiveness and financial viability.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to minimize project expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor project financials, analyse variances and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • B. E (Civil); Certification in Quality management/ISO.
  • Proven track record of at least 15 years of construction management experience with a focus on real estate development projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing large scale civil construction projects from inception to completion including budgeting, scheduling and resource management.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment’s, materials and techniques with a focus on safety and sustainability.

Key Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Construction Procedures and Practices.
  • Excellent project management abilities including planning, scheduling and resource management.
  • In depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes and regulations.
  • Should be well versed in all aspects of Quality related to construction & processes.
  • Knowledge of finishing activities and other MEP related activities and their procedures.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Good Communication & Interpersonal skills.
