The company is currently seeking a Head of Commercial EPC to lead and oversee all commercial aspects of EPC projects, including contracts, planning, budgeting, costing, procurement, and MEP coordination, while providing strategic direction, managing risks, and ensuring project success, building strong stakeholder relationships, and developing a high-performing commercial team.
Responsibilities
- Cost Optimization & Value Derivation: Drive cost optimization initiatives across all phases of EPC projects. Leverage data analytics, benchmarking, and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance overall project value without compromising quality or timelines.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for all commercial activities within the EPC department, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and long-term goals.
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules using industry standard software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project), ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project completion. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely financial performance tracking.
- Implement robust cost control measures and value engineering techniques to optimize project profitability.
- Contract Management: Lead complex contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions that mitigate risks and maximize profitability. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage contract amendments and disputes effectively.
- Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality and reliability. Implement strategic sourcing and procurement best practices.
- Project Oversight & MEP Integration: Collaborate with project execution and design teams to align commercial decisions with technical specifications. Ensure effective integration and commercial oversight of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components in design and delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with EPC projects, implementing effective risk management strategies. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential project challenges.
Requirements
- B.E (Civil)
- 20 + years of experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- Excellent negotiation skills & deep-rooted experience in dealing with consultants, vendors, contractors.
- Strong leadership & senior level maturity with excellent man management skills.
- Should possess excellent communication skills both written & verbal with strong coordination and networking skills.
