They are currently looking for a motivated and resourceful professional to join their Land Acquisition and Investments team. This role involves identifying suitable land opportunities, evaluating real estate investments and managing the entire deal process from sourcing to closure. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the real estate sector and be capable of working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
1. Sourcing Opportunities
- Identify potential land and property investment opportunities across India.
- Build and maintain a network of brokers, local agents, consultants and other stakeholders to source quality deals.
- Stay updated on market trends, infrastructure developments, and changes in regulations that may impact investment potential.
2. Investment Evaluation
- Evaluate the potential of land and property deals by analysing costs, expected returns and market potential.
- Work with internal teams to prepare business cases and recommendations for new investments.
- Support in preparing investment presentations and reports for senior management.
3. Deal Execution
- Managing the entire deal process including negotiation, documentation and coordination with legal and compliance teams.
- Work with internal departments to ensure all aspects of the deal are well-planned and executed.
- Support due diligence activities including legal checks, title verification, and regulatory approvals.
4. Market Research & Insights
- Conduct research on specific locations and markets to understand demand, pricing, competition, and investment risks.
- Visit sites, analyse the catchment areas and compare similar developments to support decision-making.
- Keep the team informed on industry trends, policy changes and new opportunities.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of deals in progress and regularly update internal systems and databases.
- Contribute to improving internal processes for more efficient deal evaluation and execution.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in acquiring land for any real estate.
- Strong understanding of Indian land laws, local development regulations, and approval processes.
- Should possess strong networking skills to deal with brokers, government officials, and local influencers.
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Basic financial acumen for evaluating land deals.
