The company specialises in design and build projects and over the last decade, they have successfully completed more than 350 projects and delivered more than 15 million square feet of workspace design projects in India. Over the years, the company has partnered with several prestigious clients to create their ideal workspace.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to join their team as an MEP Head in Bangalore. The individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of MEP systems in the company’s construction projects, ensuring they meet industry standards, project requirements, and are completed within budget and on schedule. The role will include collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of MEP systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of MEP engineers and coordinators.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop MEP project budgets, schedules, and plans.
- Review and approve MEP system designs, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee the bidding and procurement process for MEP subcontractors and vendors.
- Monitor the progress of MEP installations and coordinate with construction teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure MEP systems are installed correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any MEP-related issues that arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Manage MEP project budgets and track expenses to control costs effectively.
- Work closely with the project team to resolve design conflicts and coordinate MEP systems with architectural and structural elements.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence in MEP work.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master degree preferred).
- Experience in MEP management in the construction industry.
- A professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of MEP design, construction methods, and building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient MEP practices is a plus.
