This opportunity is with a renowned developer, known for their signature high-rise residential ventures. The company stands out for its extensive land holdings and remarkable absence of debt. Embarking on a redevelopment endeavour they have ambitious plans to develop large area of prime real estate in the next five years.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to lead their MEP team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the MEP design development and implementation of design standards, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems as a subject matter expert. Implementation of the company’s sustainability strategy and initiatives for the best optimum resources and troubleshooting during project execution.
Responsibilities
- To monitor MEP Consultants’ performance, MEP drawings from architects/consultants, and provide valuable inputs with regards to services to ensure that there are no design flaws/omissions and the optimum services are being considered for execution of the job.
- Value engineering and provide guidance to the concerned with all aspects of services to ensure effective decision-making.
- Benchmarking optimum services available and creating a data bank to standardize/customize services as per project requirements and quick reference as and when required.
- Assist the Contracts team in preparing cost estimates, budgets, etc. as a subject matter expert to ensure that there are no major deviations in cost estimates and also to provide feedback on services in existence and their durability / efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal and external resources for creating the Master plan with reference to STP, WTP, rainwater harvesting, Green Building, etc. services to be implemented and provide value engineering recommendations to ensure the best possible services are being incorporated.
- Monitor the work of contractors, to ensure that proper methods and technologies are being adapted while installing / execution of services to ensure durability / smooth functioning of equipment/resources and also there is zero / minimum maintenance work required in the longer run.
- Coordinate with the internal team, consultants, and contractors for execution of the MEP works and troubleshooting of hurdles/problems, if any to ensure that the project is not delayed.
- Ensuring that the MEP works are carried out as per standards and in accordance with the Project timelines.
- Attend Project review meetings to monitor design & site progress and resolve issues, if any.
- Monitor budget for all MEP works and certification of bills, and claims by Consultants & Contractors; Assist in preparation of various analyses as and when required.
- Experience of modern maintenance techniques, machinery, processes and equipment related to services and recommend the best possible/optimum systems to be implemented so as to enhance the effectiveness of MEP services.
