This opportunity is with one of the largest global Real Estate professional services firm, specializing in offering services for commercial property and investment management, including leasing, property management, facilities management, project and development services, and capital markets advisory. Being one of the largest commercial real estate services companies in the world, they operate in more than 75 countries, and have a diverse client base including corporations, institutions, governments, and individuals.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional for heading their Operations team. This individual will work closely with the WA Head of Operations on governance and risk management, Environment Health & Safety (EHS), sustainability, technology, policies, processes and procedures. This role requires partnering closely with the Regional Leads, City Leads, as well as the Sector and Service leads, providing them support across all systems and platforms across all service/product types offered including project management, design, construction and technical advisory.
Responsibilities
- Nailing down compliance with project safety and environmental plans ensuring that all projects are professionally approached from a commercial risk management, client satisfaction, procedural compliance, and quality perspective.
- Overseeing the commercial success of projects for both clients and the company.
- Overseeing, contribute to and coordinate the training programs available to the team. Support each location in completing needs analysis for employee training.
- Monitor each location is recording training hour each month and hitting set targets.
- Guide and support all staff through the process of gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to operate at the desired level of competence.
- Lead and manage on-boarding and orientation program for new talent.
- Support in the formulation and establishment of annual individual performance goals for all staff.
- Support the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) initiatives and programs in the business.
- Support locations in the hiring of senior roles via maintaining a virtual bench of candidates.
- Adhoc training in locations on specific process, policies that need improvement or new systems being implemented.
- Periodically review and refresh existing standards, systems, and tools with a view to continuous improvement.
- Working closely with the HSE Lead to set H&S objectives and targets each year and monitor performance. Ensuring that the firm’s H&S policies are understood by project teams and procedures are implemented on projects. Providing support in the event that any incidents occur and follow up on flash reports and corrective actions until closure. Monitoring performance monthly on HS reporting via Clarizen and provide feedback/reporting.
