This opportunity is with a leading real estate investment management company which has demonstrated significant success over the past four decades. The company has acquired, developed and managed an extensive portfolio comprising hundreds of properties across multiple countries.
They are currently looking for an experienced professional to join their Mumbai team. The role involves analysing acquisition opportunities in real estate, developing deal models and updating them as projects progress. It offers a dynamic environment for individuals passionate about real estate investment and analytical rigour.
Responsibilities
- Analyse different acquisition opportunities, develop models for various deals and update them during the life cycle of the project.
- Preparation of Investment Committee memos for new acquisitions.
- Analysing feasibility of different opportunities by interacting with various Internal stakeholders.
- Provide intelligence on new legislation/acts/bills, market supply-demand data and historical underwriting parameters.
- Undertake site visits, understand catchment areas, and draw comparatives for the project.
- Scenario analysis of different strategies.
- Stress testing/ sensitivity analysis of variables to calculate impact on bottom-line of project.
- Assisting the team in financial assumptions and calculations of different ratios/parameters.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research as needed.
Requirements
- 1-6 years of relevant experience in the real estate sector.
- Willingness to take up additional responsibilities in other areas like equity capital market and asset management.
- Sound understanding of real estate deal parameters.
- Ability to evaluate opportunities, underwrite transactions and validate all assumptions.
- Strong financial and analytical skills.
- Should be proficient in excel modelling (knowledge of real estate valuation software would be a plus).
- Sound understanding of financial, legal & tax structuring.
- Should be a team player and willing to travel to evaluate deals.
- Postgraduate/MBA/CFA/CA.
